Robert Schulz of We The People has tried for years to get the courts to recognize a redress of grievances as provided for in the First Amendment. Our founding fathers put that provision as a peaceful way that we the people could require the government to come into Constitutional compliance in non-authorized operations. For years the courts have denied or ignored his request for a redress of grievances claiming that he had no standing to speak for all the people. So Mr. Schulz organized a nationwide organization called We the People Foundation, which became the umbrella organization for the Continental Congress 2009. This was a humongous undertaking that required the people from every state to elect Delegates to meet with the Delegates of the other states and collectively construct a unified letter of redress. Mr. Schulz was denied standing because he only represented one state and was not authorized by the people of that state to speak on behalf of all the rest. The Continental Congress 2009 closed those excuses by the courts because now there were 3 from each state authorized by vote of the people to speak for them. The drafting of this document was a monumental task when you consider 153 of the most outspoken political activist's of our times came together and tried to come to a common agreement on the verbiage and structure of this document for nearly two weeks they argued, discussed, and fought over how it should read, but finish it they did and I believe this will be one of the most historic accomplishments of our times. They didn't agree on everything, and neither will you, but this is a must read document. Click here to read the Articles of Freedom.
